The University of Guelph soybean breeding program has made yet another breakthrough. Istvan Rajcan, Plant Agriculture, is leading a team of researchers to create new varieties of soybeans that have higher levels of nutrients such as Vitamin E.
In this latest video for Farms.com, SPARK’s own Joey Sabljic discusses with Istvan the benefits that these enhanced soybeans could have. With considerable evidence that soybean varieties with higher Vitamin E can help prevent colon, prostate and breast cancer, this research promises to be vital for the soybean industry.
